EDSF Background
The original concept of the document foundation dates back to 1994, when it was noted that the document marketplace was ready to expand and formalize its contribution to education and research. Originally formed as the Xplor Foundation with Xplor International as the founding organization, the Foundation was restructured in 1996. Today, with industry leaders serving as its board of directors, EDSF is dedicated to enhancing the value of document communication by fostering education and leading-edge research, and building a community of support to benefit document creators and users.
