EDSF presents the following three Excellence in Education Awards to honor innovative programs:

Innovation in Higher Education
Presented to degree granting institutions or organizations at the undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate level whose program is dedicated to the advancement of document communications and graphic media in our industry through education. Includes accredited 4-year or advanced degree programs. Courses may be delivered in the traditional classroom format, electronically or with a blended approach incorporating both conventional/traditional and electronic formats.

Innovation in Continuing Education
Presented to academic institutions or accredited training organizations that builds and delivers programs and/or professional career development either conventionally or electronically. Refers to continuing education programs, outreach programs or seminars. Not necessary to be delivered by an academic institution or a degree granting organization. Must be a certified (certificate) program. Examples include colleges, universities, consultants, trade schools, corporations, and trade associations. Courses may be delivered in the traditional classroom format, electronically or with a blended approach incorporating both conventional/traditional and electronic formats.

Innovation in Middle/Secondary/Post Secondary Education
Presented to middle/secondary schools or two-year post secondary schools, recognizing programs that are dedicated to the advancement of document management and communications through education. Courses may be delivered in the traditional classroom format, electronically or with a blended approach incorporating both conventional/traditional and electronic formats.
